ENLIGHT, Micron Optics Sensing Analysis Software, is included with Micron Optics sensing interrogation systems and provides a single suite of tools for data acquisition, computation, and analysis of optical sensor networks.

ENLIGHT combines the useful features of traditional sensor software with the specific needs of the optical sensor system, making it easy to optimize optical properties during the design and implementation phase of an optical sensor system. ENLIGHT^'s intuitive data display and additional graphing and data visualization features make it easy to use.

ENLIGHT provides the basic functions of interrogator configuration, wavelength data acquisition, saving and visualization, and adds several advanced features, including:

• Conversion of optical parameters to engineering units
• Optimization of sensor detection
• Definition and management of optical sensors
• Real-time processing of sensor data (including averaging, referencing and normalization)
• Comprehensive data storage and display
• Setting and management of warning and alarm conditions
• On board module diagnostic collection
• ENLIGHT Remote Command Interface

ENLIGHT 1.5 is a major new release that enhances existing features and adds new functionality, principally in the areas of data management, archiving, analysis, and access.  Key among these additions is the new ENLIGHT Data Archive, which provides users with a reliable baseline of data storage functionality that is both complementary and completely independent from the existing user-selected data saving options located on the Save tab.  The ENLIGHT Data Archive serves as a data safety net: an ever-present archival data store that is active from the moment the first FBGs and sensors are defined.

New functions & features in ENLIGHT 1.5 include:

• ENLIGHT Data Archive
• User adjustable time scale and logging rates
• User scalable storage allocation (from 0.5 to 3.5 GB)
• Query tools (i.e. filters) for simple retrieval of target FBG and sensor data
• ENLIGHT Web Interface Microsoft Silverlight^TM Application
• Basic data vs time plotting tools for analysis
• FTP data transfer function

Compatibility note: ENLIGHT 1.5 is designed for Micron Optics sm125, sm225, sm130 and sm230 interrogator modules.  ENLIGHT Version 1.x users will be able to use their same configuration files.  If you are still a version 0.x user, you will need to recreate your configuration files, but it is time to upgrade!

*The latest version of ENLIGHT that is compatible with the si2XX and si7XX instruments is v1.0.38. It is recommended that all “si” sensing instruments operate this ENLIGHT version compatible with the Integrated ENLIGHT operating environment. Find more information about compatibility here.
